The project was to create the official artwork for the 11th anniversary of "One Day, One Voice," a regional campaign by the organization JASS (Just Associates). The campaign's mission is to unite voices against gender-based violence across Southeast Asia. My task was to create a powerful visual that embodied the theme "Stronger in Solidarity" and could represent the campaign in multiple countries.
I aimed to create an image that conveyed unity, resilience, and forward-looking strength. I illustrated two figures standing together, their shared gaze representing a collective focus on a better future. The surrounding natural elements symbolize growth and hope. I chose a bold, warm color palette and strong typography to create an impactful and memorable visual that could stand as a symbol for the movement.
My role was to develop the central visual identity for the campaign. This included:
Conceptual Illustration: Creating the core artwork based on the "Stronger in Solidarity" theme.
Poster Design: Designing the primary campaign poster that integrated the illustration with key information.
Merchandise Adaptation: Repurposing the final design for use on campaign T-shirts.
The artwork became the face of the 11th-anniversary campaign, used on posters and T-shirts across Cambodia, Indonesia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Thailand, and Timor-Leste. It was an honor to contribute to a project with such a vital mission. This experience taught me how to create a single, unifying image intended to resonate across diverse cultures for a large-scale advocacy campaign, reinforcing how illustration can be a powerful tool for social change.
